As newsletter editor for my chapter, I often searched the internet for good photos of our native plants. My love of the plants and my desire to show the public their beauty required the best photos I could find. Using search-Google-images, and the plant's scientific name, I pored over the pages until I found a beauty. Time and again it was a photo by Alan Cressler on Flickr. I sent Alan a request to use the photo in our newsletter and he quickly granted permission. The second time, he sent a note giving me "blanket" permission: a wonderful gift for wild places and the public. Once each year I send him a short note of thanks for all the hundreds of photos I have used throughout the year. You can visit his 18,000+ photos on Flickr, Alan Cressler. Thank you, again, Alan.
